This bespoke Coverdale Garden Room, located in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, was designed and built to create a comfortable, high-quality garden office that can be enjoyed all year round. Measuring 6m x 3m, the space combines practical design with durable materials, delivering a clean, modern finish both inside and out.
From the outset, the focus was on efficiency, build quality, and creating a space that worked exactly as the client wanted.

The project included manufacture, supply, and full assembly of a Coverdale Garden Room. A galvanised steel pile flooring system, creating a stable, long-lasting base designed for year-round use.
The structure was built with 100mm of acoustic and PIR insulation to the floor, walls, and roof, delivering excellent thermal efficiency and sound reduction. An insulated composite box-profile roof in anthracite grey, with matching trims, ensuring reliable weather protection.
Western Red Cedar cladding was installed to the front and side elevations, paired with metal sheeting to the rear for durability. A 1m redwood decking area to the front extends the usable footprint and enhances the connection between indoor and outdoor space.
For insulation, 25mm Kingspan is installed within the cavity, followed by 75mm of Rockwool. The subfloor is then laid on top of the timber base, using 2400mm x 600mm x 18mm chipboard floor sheets, which are securely fixed in place.
The installation of a 1.5m anthracite UPVC French door and two top-hung UPVC windows maximises natural light while maintaining a modern appearance. Electrical works include four double sockets, brushed chrome ceiling spotlights, external up/down lighting, and a 1.5kW panel heater to keep the garden room warm even in colder months.
Internally, plasterboarded and fully plastered walls and ceilings provide a smooth, contemporary finish. Oak V-groove laminate flooring and pre-painted MDF skirting boards complete a bright, practical workspace, with final checks and handover carried out to ensure everything met expectations.

The finished Coverdale Garden Room delivers a bright, well-insulated, and highly practical space, built with quality materials and careful attention to detail. The large, spacious room is now being used as an extra lounge area, a comfortable guest bedroom, and also provides useful additional storage, making it a highly versatile addition to the home.
