Outbuildings are typically classed as permitted development and do not usually require planning permission, provided they meet specific criteria. To ensure full compliance with permitted development regulations, our garden rooms are constructed on site in line with the following guidelines.
All garden rooms must have a maximum overall height of no more than 2.5m.
For garden rooms with an internal floor area of up to 15m², a minimum distance of 0.5 metres from any boundary is required.
For garden rooms with an internal floor area exceeding 15m² and up to 30m², a minimum distance of 1.0 metre from any boundary must be maintained.
These requirements help ensure a smooth installation process without the need for planning approval in most cases.
